Mission Statment

Green Frontier is a Saskatoon based business. The company aims to help improve the building industry by connecting clients with high quality products that largely reduce the energy consumption in their building, helping clients to understand what is required for a more energy efficient project, and reducing the waste that is created by the industry. The end result, a more durable, healthy, energy efficient, comfortable, quiet, sustainable building that has better resale value as well as lower utility bills in a world with fewer resources and higher prices for them every year. Buildings that will stand the test of time.

From the owner

Hi I'm Mark Lavoie I am a Passive House Consultant, Journeyman Carpenter and Supervisor of commercial and residential projects with 16 years of experience. Over that time I came to see very clearly that the current practices in the building industry are good at prioritizing aesthetics but very poor at prioritizing energy efficiency, the comfort level within buildings, and the impact on the planet. Meanwhile in my free time in our great outdoors I noticed the landscapes, weather and stability of our seasons we depend on changing due to our churning through resources. Years ago a friend told me about Passive House Buildings. It seemed excessive at first but with research and time it was obvious that we should strive for a similar standard in general for all buildings. Knowing the industry could do better was motivating so over a number of years I worked to find better ways. Through experience, education and the help of others Green Frontier was created to address those problems within the building industry. I can't speak for all industries, but I know for a fact my industry can do better for the environment and its clients.
